  • Standing up on Surfboard

  • Catching unbroken waves from out the back

Group sizes

We can have 40 in each group at one time. Anything above this will have to incorporate a buddy system or other surf skills like surf negotiation, body surfing, foam boards, beach activities. Lessons are taught by surfing and surf lifesaving high level instructors.

Surf Life Saving Tours

Tour Groups are hosted by famous Surf Lifesaving clubs, and surf lifesavers - exchanging information via educational videos on the volunteer Surf lifesaving movement, the sport of Surfing, and a surf education & coastal geography lesson. This combines with a fun surfing & body surfing lesson plus surf lifesaving beach events.

A surf club BBQ overlooking the beach is a rewarding end to the activities and a truly Australian experience. The program is completed by way of surf lifesaving demonstration, showing rip escapes, surf negotiation and use of racing/rescue equipment.  Finally an option to take a coastal walk following Manly's premier viewing points - lead by true locals. These walks show off some off Australia’s most beautiful coastline, locals educate the groups about the Australian way of life and the local geography.

Programs can also be adapted for senior groups with more emphasis on educational content, demonstrations, first aid & CPR, and morning tea/lunch options.
