Surf Safety & Training Programs for Students During the School Term
SEA Australia’s School programs offer a balanced mix of in the surf practical training and classroom learning, designed to equip students with essential surf safety knowledge – particularly rip current awareness – and confidence in the water.
Developed in alignment with the NSW school syllabus, the courses integrate theoretical modules (like coastal geography and surf zones) with hands‑on activities such as paddling foam boards, body surfing, and practicing rip escape techniques.
Whether delivered as a full excursion or a tailored in‑school and beach experience, the program supports all students – regardless of ability, age, or cultural diversity – in gaining the skills to stay safe at the beach and enrich their engagement with the coastal environment.
Programs are entry level and designed to engage the students through fun activities and motivation via our enthusiastic instructors. The important knowledge and skills learnt within the program, has saved lives since the program inception in 1998.
